The venue for the HCFF, The Corazon Cinema and Café is the perfect combination of “shabby chic” and Saint Augustine history. In the words of many of its patrons, The Corazon is one of the city’s “hidden gems;” there truly is nothing else like it in all of Florida! This year, Jacksonville’s Folio Magazine selected The Corazon Cinema and Café as the best cinema in Saint Augustine. Hosting multiple film festivals throughout the year, The Corazon also caters to the local community, screening independent films and a variety of special events. Although The Corazon Cinema and Café is an art house offering a great selection of soups, salads and sandwiches, as well as a wide variety of wines and beers, its primary focus is in bringing independent theater to Saint Augustine and the surrounding communities. Considered one of the oldest buildings in Saint Augustine, the current commercial building was built in 1910 and has housed many different businesses over the years.
